Zetia, also know by it's generic name Ezetimibe is used to treat cases of high cholesterol. Ezetimibe reduces the amount of unwanted cholesterol absorbed by the body to help lower your overall cholesterol levels. This can be used alongside a statin class medication to enhance the reduction of cholesterol levels in the body.

Zetia is taken once a day with or without food. The dose can vary based on the initial diagnoses and the response to treatment. It is important to remain on the same dose and only make changes with the advice of your doctor. Take care to read the paper work and instructions given to you by your pharmacist, and follow any explicit instructions given to you by your doctor. 

A major component of an effective treatment with Zetia is a life style change to include a healthy diet and exercise. Work within the advice given to your by doctor to make the right changes to your life style.
