Vagifem (estradiol) is a female hormone, in tablet form, used to relieve vaginal symptoms of menopause. When women go through menopause, their body makes less estrogen causing issues like vaginal burning and itching. Estradiol is prescribed orally when the vaginal ring (applied directly inside the vagina) does not prove to be sufficient in treating the patient. 

Always follow your doctors instructions while taking Vagifem.

  • Taken by mouth, usually once daily 
  • May be increased to twice daily after 2 weeks time
  • Don’t tamper (increase or extend) your dosage without consulting your doctor first.
  • Use this drug regularly to gain the most benefits
