Zyprexa Zydis is also known by the generic name Olanzapine and be prescribed to treat certain mood disorders like schizophrenia and bipolar disorder. Olanzapine is an atypical antipsychotic that helps restore the balance of your brain chemistry to reduce hallucinations, allow a positive outlook for yourself, and make you feel less agitated.

Zyprexa Zydis typically comes in a blister pack that requires you to peel off the backing foil to access the drug. Avoid pushing the tablet through the blister pack in case you damage the tablet. Take care that you wash your hands before you remove the foil from the back of the the blister pack. Place the tablet in your mouth and let it dissolve on your tongue, then swallow the pill with or without food or liquid.
